Nathan and Sarah were married about two years ago in a lovely small wedding with friends and family. They didn't have that many frills, and really wanted to commemorate their anniversary with a special photo session together. So, we set out for the family farm in celebration!

Their first idea was to have a picnic. "We picked food that we thought would both taste and look good," said Sarah, after they had fed each other cheesecake and enjoyed some delicious champagne. The champagne had turned out to be a bit more dramatic than expected, but it made for a great photo!

Sarah's ring was an antique, and their wedding bands were simple. They brought a travel Scrabble board along to emphasize their love of words (they were both English majors in college, and are still literary aficionados).

What could be more romantic than stealing a kiss or two among the stalks of corn, or daring each other to jump off the edge of a bridge. Well, technically I dared them to, but they were good sports!

And this series of shots captures a bit of their love of literature... they had picked out books from their collection to showcase in the photos.

And of course, since we're on a farm, we have to make friends with the animals!

It got pretty late after wandering all around, and I had the satisfaction of instructing Nathan and Sarah to kiss at sunset; ah, how sweet.

Happy anniversary, you two, and many more!
