Two Punks at Artscape

Megan and Stephanie make a daring appearance again, this time as two punks at Artscape! I give full credit to these ladies for their amazing modeling efforts; they coordinated their outfits, did their own make-up and hair, and traipsed all around the city with me for nearly three hours!

Did you know that portable toilets can make a good backdrop?

We snuck around behind a few buildings and made use of the blocked-off alleyways that Artscape had created, allowing us some free time to experiment in roads that would be otherwise traversed.

I love how real and sexy these ladies are. They just oozed confidence, which is what a photographer loves–real people being real in front of the lens. They put up with the heat and crowds, too (which you can’t see, because we’re sneaky like that).

Did someone need to call the police? These ladies are on the job.

On our way back to the Light Rail downtown, we found these eerie-looking lampposts that, when photographed, were a wildly different color than what I saw with my naked eye. It made for a wicked cool backdrop.

I have to throw in these two favorite outtakes of mine, for good measure…

It may not look like it, but Meg was trying her darndest not to crack up the whole time, and Stephanie was practically a monkey everywhere we went (a description I usually reserve for my 18-month old daughter).

FUN TIMES.
