Emily + Dino: autumn wedding at St. George Orthodox Church in Norwood

I’ve been waiting all year for this wedding. Two dear friends of mine, whose engagement session I photographed back in May, have given me so much creative freedom and support in so many other ways. Being there for them on their wedding day was thrilling for me.

The day began at Emily’s childhood home…

"My dad's little piece of the planet," Emily said.

Emily was bustling around the house while her mother carefully ironed out the wrinkles in her dress.

These two ladies have quite a level of attention to detail.

Kermit the frog kept track of the dress for Emily until it was time to put it on.

Oh, the long line of buttons on her dress, and the gaze her dad gave her when she had her dress on.

Emily's dad gets a glimpse, and melts a bit.

I teared up a bit when I saw this letter from Emily’s mother–she wrote several in preparation for Emily’s wedding day…

Emily's mother wrote many sweet letters to her daughter in the month leading up to the wedding day--this was the last of the bunch.

…and you can see the emotion and love Emily’s mother has for her.

Hold it in! You've got a whole ceremony ahead!

All the bridesmaids hover around and help Emily put the final touches.

All I gotta say about those heels is: va-va-va-voom!

Meanwhile, at the church, everything was ready…

We’ll have to wait for Emily and Dino’s big ceremony later!

  1. …as mother of this beautiful bride, I can only say it was perfect from beginning (as in preparing since last December!) to end, just as we envisioned in our hearts and minds…..
